Would You Ever…Slide Down a Skyscraper?
If you miss the days of playground slides, but want something more adventurous, it’s time to plan a trip to Los Angeles.
The 72-story U.S. Bank Tower, the country’s tallest skyscraper west of the Mississippi River, recently opened the 1,018-foot high Skyslide. Those daring enough to try it will enjoy sweeping views of L.A. while descending down the tower.
The 46-foot long slide starts on the 69th floor and connects to the building’s 70th floor. Sliders sit on a map while they slide down the curved structure, coming to rest on an open-air roof deck with 360-degree views of the city.
Tickets to get into Skyspace, the area of the building where the slide is located, are $25 for adults, $22 for seniors and $19 for children ages 3 to 12. A ride on the Skyslide costs an extra $8.
Take a look at this video and decide whether you can handle a trip on the Skyslide.
